With the temperatures rising, days getting longer, and tan lines getting darker, that can only mean one thing; summer is officially at our doors. With the start of the summer months comes the unofficial start to road trip season, the perfect time to get out and explore your surroundings all the while discovering brand new places along the way. Road trips can be very exciting and are personally one of my favorite things to do in the summer but with all of that excitement can come a whole lot of problems if you’re not prepared. Because I’m a big list-making person and because it’s easy to forget important things when you’re overly excited and anxious to get on the road, I’ve put together a little packing list with all of the road trip essentials you may need for your upcoming summer road trips. Let’s face it, we all want to travel and explore the world around us but with the vast majority of adult humans nowadays working 9-5 jobs Monday through Friday, that doesn’t leave very much to venture out. A solution to this problem would of course be to plan shorter trips instead rather than trying to find extra vacation days to go on a week long voyage which is a good way to make said trips more frequent. With a little over 1,000 inhabitants, the small village of Venise en Quebec boasts beautiful beaches and stunning landscapes and is only 45 minutes away from Montreal. This choice holiday destination is found on the banks of the Lake Champlain between the stunning region of the Eastern Townships and the state of Vermont. Here you will find visitors flocking to the village during the summer months for the endless beaches and campsites but Venise also gets a lot of love in the winter for the popular ice fishing spots found on the lake.
