With the temperatures rising, days getting longer, and tan lines getting darker, that can only mean one thing; summer is officially at our doors. With the start of the summer months comes the unofficial start to road trip season, the perfect time to get out and explore your surroundings all the while discovering brand new places along the way. Road trips can be very exciting and are personally one of my favorite things to do in the summer but with all of that excitement can come a whole lot of problems if you’re not prepared. Because I’m a big list-making person and because it’s easy to forget important things when you’re overly excited and anxious to get on the road, I’ve put together a little packing list with all of the road trip essentials you may need for your upcoming summer road trips. HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF A SHORT TRIP

Let’s face it, we all want to travel and explore the world around us but with the vast majority of adult humans nowadays working 9-5 jobs Monday through Friday, that doesn’t leave very much to venture out. A solution to this problem would of course be to plan shorter trips instead rather than trying to find extra vacation days to go on a week long voyage which is a good way to make said trips more frequent. Though shorter trips may not seem appealing to everyone, as you do have much less time to get everything done, the greatest memories can also be made on these weekend getaways. Personally, I try to get in as many short little day trips or weekend adventures as possible throughout the year as a way to refresh and explore new surroundings, so to help you also have the best trip possible, here are a few tips and tricks to help achieve that.

With a little over 1,000 inhabitants, the small village of Venise en Quebec boasts beautiful beaches and stunning landscapes and is only 45 minutes away from Montreal. This choice holiday destination is found on the banks of the Lake Champlain between the stunning region of the Eastern Townships and the state of Vermont. Here you will find visitors flocking to the village during the summer months for the endless beaches and campsites but Venise also gets a lot of love in the winter for the popular ice fishing spots found on the lake.

The days are getting longer, the sun is setting later and later by the day, and it is officially hot enough to bust out all your summer clothes that have been in hiding all winter. With summer knocking on our doors, not only does this mean that the season of barbecues and late night bonfires is upon us but also the season of road trips. There’s nothing better during the summer months than packing up your car and bringing along a few friends to go explore a brand new place. With spring right around the corner not only is it almost time to bust out the summer clothes and start thinking about working on your tan, it’s also festival season. Lineups for a range of popular festivals have started to be announced and plans can start being made. Personally I am someone that adores music festivals and concerts in general. I’ve been to more concerts that I can count and I’m always up for spending a hot summer day outside listening to my favorite bands play my favorite songs. Though this blog post isn’t necessarily travel related, I thought that I would still put together this sort of survival guide for music festivals to help out those in need.
