Nestled in the Laurentian mountains and only an hour drive North of Montreal, lies Mont Tremblant. Tremblant is a much loved destination among tourists coming to Quebec and is a great place to visit for both skiers as well as nature lovers and hikers, with both the Mont Tremblant ski resort and the Mont Tremblant National Park, being in the top places to go when visiting the town. One of the most iconic things about Mont Tremblant though isn’t the great ski trails or the abundance of hiking trails, it’s the pedestrian village found at the base of the towering Tremblant mountain. This village, with it’s brightly colored rooftops that can be seen from miles away, is only accessible to pedestrians and though it was built around the ski resort, it is the perfect place to visit no matter the season. The pedestrian village is also the ideal place to stay for first time visitors to Mont Tremblant as the village has everything you may need from hotels and restaurants to adorable little shops and a plethora of activities to partake in. So for a weekend away in one of the cutest places in Quebec, here are some of the best things to do and place to see in Mont Tremblant.Β

EXPLORE QUEBEC | A SUMMER DAY AT PARC SAFARI

With a dromedary camel on one side of you and massive yaks strolling past you on the opposite side, this unique zoo is one of the only places in North America that will leave you feeling like you’re on your own African safari in the comfort of your own vehicle.

With a little over 1,000 inhabitants, the small village of Venise en Quebec boasts beautiful beaches and stunning landscapes and is only 45 minutes away from Montreal. This choice holiday destination is found on the banks of the Lake Champlain between the stunning region of the Eastern Townships and the state of Vermont. Here you will find visitors flocking to the village during the summer months for the endless beaches and campsites but Venise also gets a lot of love in the winter for the popular ice fishing spots found on the lake.

The days are getting longer, the sun is setting later and later by the day, and it is officially hot enough to bust out all your summer clothes that have been in hiding all winter. With summer knocking on our doors, not only does this mean that the season of barbecues and late night bonfires is upon us but also the season of road trips. There’s nothing better during the summer months than packing up your car and bringing along a few friends to go explore a brand new place.
