Surrounded by the calm forests and the majestic mountains of Mount Orford is the Espace 4 Saisons resort hotel. This four star hotel is found only 5 minutes away from the center of Magog, Quebec and is one of the only hotels located at the bottom of the Orford mountain. With amenities such as an indoor pool, hot tub, and fully equipped spa, this hotel is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing weekend away, which is exactly what I needed. Here is my full in depth review of the Espace 4 Saisons in Orford, Quebec.
The location of this hotel is perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Though it could get quite a bit busier during the winter months seeing as it is at the base of the Orford ski hill, while we were there it was much calmer. Being higher up on a mountain also makes for quite the views from your hotel room window and is a great place to just take a walk through the area and enjoy the fresh air.
Services & Amenities
The Espace 4 Saisons has an abundance of things to do that are great for everyone and is a hotel that just seems to have everything you’re looking for. To start things off, the hotel has two on site restaurants available to the guests located just a few steps from the front entrance of the hotel. These restaurants are the BurgerPub and the Bistro 4 Saisons. Though we didn’t get a chance to try out the Bistro, we did have dinner at the BurgerPub during our stay. The restaurant is quite small inside but there is a large terrasse outside where you can sit to enjoy your meal and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Though the restaurant is quite pricey in my opinion, having paid over 30$ for two hamburgers with fries (not including the drinks), the food was quite good. The menu also doesn’t have many options to choose from.
The hotel also has an indoor and outdoor pool as well as an outdoor hot tub which is one of the main reason why we chose this hotel and it was one of the things I was looking forward to the most. Though it was a bit too cold for a swim in the pool, the hot tub was perfect and was very clean. Aside from the pool area, the hotel also has other areas for guests such as a movie theater, workout room, fully equipped spa (at a surcharge) as well as common rooms on each floor that have couches, board games, and books to relax and hang out. If you are driving to the Espace 4 Saisons, parking is available at the hotel free of charge with unlimited in and out access. The hotel has quite a large space to park with ample amount of spots though most of them are near the back of the hotel which makes for quite a bit of a walk to the front entrance. There is also an underground parking complex available as well.
First things first, this hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are no exception. We opted to stay in one of the cheaper rooms, the classic room, which came equipped with a king size bed, a pull out bed, ample amount of storage, as well as a flat screen TV and a mini fridge. The room that we stayed in also had a big window allowing in lots of natural lighting which made the room feel cozy and inviting. The decor throughout the hotel and in our room was very rustic with lots of dark wood and warm tones. We did however notice that the toilet in our bathroom could have been cleaner than it was, as there were noticeable stains on the inside of the bowl. The internet was also a bit questionable. Throughout the hotel, guests have access to free wireless internet yet again in our room the connection wasn’t very good. We ended up having to use a different network that was available as for the most part our phones wouldn’t connect to the wifi connection the hotel had. Overall, we were quite content with our room and the price that we paid for it.
Overall, we loved this hotel and spent a great time here. Though there were a few minor hiccups that we liked a bit less, it was still worth the money we spent to stay here and it helped make the weekend that much more enjoyable. We are looking forward to going back soon.
